What does CannaHelp sell?

Single Tinctures use one herb for a targeted purpose. Combined Tinctures blend several herbs for a body system such as sleep, thyroid or immunity.

How does cannabis work in the body?

Cannabis works through the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS), a network of receptors linked to the brain, bones, lungs, muscles and digestive system. Cannabinoids help restore communication between those receptors when the body is out of balance. The cannabis plant contains hundreds of cannabinoids — roughly 500 are known so far — of which CBD and THC are the best understood. Cannabis has been used as a medicine for thousands of years and researchers continue to find further uses as the plant is studied.

What is the difference between CBD and THC?

CBD has no psychoactive effect and will not make you feel high. THC has strong healing properties but is the cannabinoid that causes a high. CBD is commonly used for anxiety, depression, inflammation, migraines, PTSD, seizures, nausea, bone health and osteoporosis, Alzheimer's and dementia. THC is commonly used for pain relief, glaucoma, insomnia, arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraines, cancer symptoms, tremors and epilepsy — epilepsy often responds best to a CBD and THC combination. If THC is taken at night, CBD in the morning helps counteract the lingering high.

Herbs carry protective polyphenols — plant compounds with strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects — and they target specific conditions, so blending them with cannabis treats the cause rather than only the symptom. Research links polyphenols to protection against cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's and diabetes, among others. That is why the range offers both Single and Combined Tinctures: for prevention, for healing and for maintaining health.

What are CannaHelp tinctures mixed with?

All CannaHelp tinctures are blended with MCT oil. Medium-chain triglycerides are shorter fat chains than those in most foods, so they are absorbed more easily.

CannaHelp's view is that herbs and medicinal cannabis are gentle and used to treat the cause of an illness rather than just the symptoms. Always check with your doctor if you are pregnant, nursing or on chronic medication.

Are the tinctures safe for children?

Yes, CannaHelp tinctures are child friendly. Children take half the adult dose, and cannabis drops should always start at the lowest dose and increase slowly.

How much of a herbal tincture should I take?

The general adult dose is 15 to 20 drops in a little water, two to three times a day. Children take half that dose. Take tinctures consistently for at least two to three weeks before judging the effect — herbs build up gently. Each product page lists the dosage for that specific remedy; the label is always the final word.

What is the difference between a single and a combined tincture?

A single tincture contains one herb, such as Ashwagandha or Echinacea, for targeted use. A combined tincture blends four to nine herbs into a formula for a body system, such as Deep Sleep, Thyroid Care or Immune Boost.

Can I take a tincture with my chronic medication?

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist first. Herbs and cannabis can interact with prescription medicine, and CannaHelp never asks you to stop medication your doctor prescribed.

Can I give CBD to my dog or cat?

Yes. The Animal Health range includes Buddy Pet Drops for dogs and cats, Kitty Drops, Birdy Drops and Pet Calming Drops, dosed by weight. Small pets take 2 to 3 drops daily, medium pets 4 to 6 drops and large pets 8 to 10 drops, starting low and increasing gradually. Pets are commonly given drops for arthritis, anxiety, thunderstorms, travel and old-age stiffness.

Can I return a product?

Contact Daleen or Lee within 7 days if something arrives damaged, incorrect or unopened and they will arrange a replacement or refund. Opened wellness products cannot be resold and are not returnable.

Yes. CannaHelp cannabis extracts are independently lab tested for cannabinoid potency and contaminants.

Can I get a Certificate of Analysis?

Yes. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available on request for any batch — send Daleen or Lee the batch number on your label and they will share it.

Are CannaHelp products SAHPRA approved?

No. These are complementary medicines and have not been evaluated by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) for quality, safety or intended use, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Will cannabis drops make me fail a drug test or feel high?

Accepted Answer

CBD-only drops are not psychoactive and will not make you feel high. Products containing THC can cause a high and may show up on a drug test, so tell Daleen or Lee if that matters to you.
